Searchers by Pepper St Claire- Sexy Excerpt

Writing steamy love scenes doesn't come easy for me, and I envy those who can. Searchers, published by Whiskey Creek Press, is my debut and swan song erotica.

I'm pretty sure you either need a lot of experience in the field or a great imagination, and sadly, I'm lacking in both areas. Each fictional book I write contains a little truth, and Searchers is no different. I find it funny that some doubt the most "realistic" parts of the novel or dislike a character for being who they truly are.

I hope you'll read Searchers and decide for yourself what's real and what's not. I'm glad walls can't really talk.

~Pepper St Claire

Excerpt: Warning - If you can't handle steam, you may want to pass on this. *lol*

Joey stopped his car in front of her house. She vaguely recalled leaving the lounge and driving home. All of this seemed like a dream to her; a stupor induced dream she didn’t want to see end.

“Would you like to come in?” For a fleeting moment, she worried about her husband coming home early, but he’d never done that in all the years they’d been married. The alcohol dulled her fears.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, I’m very sure.” Taking his hand, she led him across the threshold. Once inside, she fell into his arms and peered up at him. “Kiss me, Joey. I want you to make love to me.”

Her sober mind awoke momentarily. Had she lost all common sense? Bringing him to her own home was totally crazy and she knew it. But, she wanted him in the worst way. She turned a deaf ear to her conscience and summoned back the intoxicated Katie, the Katie who wanted to make love with someone who was almost a stranger, the Katie who was living her dream. She’d had the appetizer and now she wanted the main course.

Joey slanted away from her. “Here? Is it safe?” His brow creased.

Did she even care? “Yes, my husband won’t be home for hours.” She ran a lazy tongue over her bottom lip, though quivering with the fear of rejection. “Don’t you want me?”

His eyes told her he did. With nimble fingers, he unzipped her dress and allowed it to drop to the floor. She stepped from the delicate heap and led him to the bedroom. As he stood before her, she began unbuttoning his shirt, running her hands across his erect nipples and splaying her fingers in the mat of black hair on his muscular chest. Following the curly trail downward, she unbuckled his belt, unzipped his Levis and allowed her hand to dip into his underwear. Freed from the confines of his boxers, his erection blossomed before her eyes. She cupped her hand around its girth. “Is this for me?” Her brazenness surprised even her.

He chuckled. “Every bit of it.”

When he stepped back to shed his clothing, she turned on the stereo. It was already set to a soft rock station, and the song playing at the moment intensified her desire to engage in hot, steamy sex.

Joey crept up behind her and unfastened her bra. He cast it aside, and then slid her panties down to the floor. She stepped out of them and turned to face him. Numbed by months of Rick’s mistreatment, she pushed aside feelings of guilt or remorse. “Take me now,” she instructed before her courage faded. Together, they collapsed in a naked heap on the bed, the very bed she shared with her husband.

The old Katie might have cared about hurt feelings and betrayal, but the new Katie saw Joey’s attention and desire as a dream come true. She wanted him, and more importantly, he wanted her. Her hands couldn’t stop touching, her lips tasting him. As he captured her nipple in his mouth, her back arched in ecstasy. “Oh yes, Joey. Oh yes!”

He responded to her plea by trailing his lips down her body. He paused for a moment to lap at her navel, and then plunged his head between her thighs. His flicking tongue sought her passion’s core. She draped her legs over his shoulders and raised her hips in invitation to probe more deeply. Her breathing turned into panting, and the room began to spin. Never before had she felt such heat.

Joey wiggled free from the grasp of her legs, swiveled around and straddled her. “Turn about is fair play,” he said. “Let’s enjoy a little sixty-nine.”

Mutual oral sex was something she’d never experienced with her husband, so she welcomed the opportunity to engage in something new and exciting with Joey. He bent and continued tonguing her throbbing nub while his penis, swaying with his movements, brushed gently against her mouth, daring her, tempting her. At first she licked at its silken head, but soon parted her lips and sucked him fully into her mouth. His moan pulsated against her vulva. She slathered his organ with scintillating licks and kisses, and after repeatedly pulling the length of him deep into her mouth, a warm liquid slid down her throat, thick, salty, and stimulating. Her knees fell wide apart while he vacuumed every ounce of strength from her body.

Torrid Teasers Volume 59

Review for Torrid Teasers Volume 59

Renata is a saucy heroine who’s sexy, smart and totally self sufficient. With the to-the-point character driven plot, “Renata” made for an overall delightful read...

Throw in an unexpected twist and loads of blazing sex, and the outcome boils on high for a gooey-warm ending.(The Questioning Concubine) Initially, the title threw me off the scent while tweaking my curiosity. Once I gained my reading momentum, it was sizzling-smooth, eyeballs-meets-mind goodness. The writing flexes its wonderfully visual muscles while my mental senses happily quivered from the intake.

Humorous, spicy and sweet, Torrid Teasers Volume 59 was definitely reading-time well spent. I didn’t know what to expect from scene to scene either, definitely a bonus. Roxanne Rhoads brings in fresh touches to each segment.

Here's a description of the book which contains 2 of my short erotic paranormals:

Renata

The residents of the sleepy little town of Flushing, Michigan had no idea a vampire lived among them, seducing and drinking from all the men in town. Renata walked among them, blending in, taking only what she needed. One night, while she was on the prowl for fresh blood at a carnival, a handsome carnie caught her eye. She had no way of knowing he was a vampire hunter and was there for her.

The Questioning Concubine

Elita, a pure blood witch, has come home to find who or what killed her parents and to take her rightful place as the head of the coven. After five years of investigating and exhausting all conventional methods at her disposal, she decides to do the one thing a good witch should never do—summon a demon. The demon is not what she expected. Elita is soon swept up in his power… and her own.

Cover Change for Torrid Teasers Volume 59

Whiskey Creek Press Torrid decided to update the design of the Torrid Teasers cover so my upcoming release now has a new cover. I think I liked the blue version better. The colors popped. Now the yellows just don't let the wording stand out.

Oh well, not my call just my opinion.

Renata and The Questioning Concubine in Torrid Teasers Volume 59 will soon be available for purchase at http://www.whiskeycreekpresstorrid.com/ the ebook is scheduled to be released on June 15th.

An Early Review of Torrid Teasers Volume 59

I just received an advance review of my upcoming release from Whiskey Creek Press Torrid. It is Torrid Teasers Volume 59 which contains two of my short erotic paranormal stories: Renata and The Questioning Concubine.

The book isn't being released until June but they sent out advance review copies for review blurbs and snippets to be included for promotional purposes. And so far the first review is pretty good. Woo Hoo!

Here's the review:

“Renata”

Renata is a vampire living peacefully in Michigan small town. She needs blood and sex to survive along with the occasional kill to satiate her inner predator. There a few hunters that kill vampires indiscriminately, so she must us caution. While hunting, Renata meets a gorgeous man that’s irresistible. There’s something odd about him, setting off warning bell but she just can’t say no.

Renata is a saucy heroine who’s sexy, smart and totally self sufficient. With the to-the-point character driven plot, “Renata” made for an overall delightful read. The brief, background history of the town and how vampires adapted into the modern world worked really well in the narrative. Throw in an unexpected twist and loads of blazing sex, and the outcome boils on high for a gooey-warm ending.

“The Questioning Concubine”

A young witch is desperate to find out who killed her parents and why. As a last resort, she takes the plunge and summons a demon. OK, so he’s not what she expected a demon to be. However, that doesn’t stop the instant and electrifying attraction.

Initially, the title threw me off the scent while tweaking my curiosity. Once I gained my reading momentum, it was sizzling-smooth, eyeballs-meets-mind goodness. The writing flexes its wonderfully visual muscles while my mental senses happily quivered from the intake. My only complaint was everything seemed to come to a screeching halt. But hey, it’s an excellent sign when you really don’t want a story to end.

Humorous, spicy and sweet, Torrid Teasers Volume 59 was definitely reading-time well spent. I didn’t know what to expect from scene to scene either, definitely a bonus. Roxanne Rhoads brings in fresh touches to each segment. I like reading the Torrid Teasers series because you get to sample an author’s work along with a double dose of their creativity. This latest installment by Ms. Rhoads lives up to all the erotically charged romance I’ve come to associate with the series.
