Tierney O'Malley is Back To Discuss Wicked Knight and Giveaway an Ecopy

I’m back! Thanks Roxanne for the opportunity to promote my book here.

Also, I would like to thank those of you who shared your opinion about love letters. I enjoyed reading every single one of them.

Wicked Persuasion is out and available from eXtasy Books. Please try this book. Diana wrote Todd letters, which I added before each of the chapter heading. You will not be disappointed.

Here is what Brande of Book Junkie said:

“…Ready for a little heartache, a lot of passion, a lot of steamy sex, and not to mention ... a lot of one smokin’ hot man trying to win back the heart of his true love. And trust me, she is one feisty gal making him work for her love and grovel and beg with many, many sweet and delicious kisses. Well if your answer is yes, then you need to make your way over to eXtasy Books on Feb 01 and pick up Tierney O'Malley's latest book, Wicked Persuasion, sit your bum down on the couch and dive right in, cause darlings, you are GONNA. LOVE. THIS. ONE!”

Okay, now with my new book Wicked Knight, it is published by Red Rose Publishing. This is the first of the five series. All stand alone. I wrote this story a long time ago, but put it aside to work on my short stories. A friend looked at it and said it is publishable. So, I polished and subbed it. Now, Wicked Knight is on Red Rose Publisher’s Bestseller list. : ) I am hoping that Wicked Persuasion would find its own spot at eXtasy’s Monthly Bestseller’s list.

With the word Knight on the title, (Carrie of Moonlight Lace and Mayhem said that the title should be Too hot to handle) one might think that the genre is historical romance. No. Wicked Knight is a contemporary erotic romance. The hero, Tristan Knight, is one of the five siblings. Except for their sister Kirsten, all boys are named after King Arthur’s Knights of the Round Table.

This book is about Tristan. He loves to play football with his brothers, a respected Pediatrician, his curse jar is always full, and a Knight willing to save his damsel, not with the use of a sword but with a ring. I say, he is every bit of true Knight in low-rise jeans and boots.

Blurb:

He vowed never to love again. She is afraid to love. A passion so strong they cannot resist.
Ruggedly handsome pediatrician, Dr. Tristan Knight, is done with marriage. Once is enough. Eager to avoid making another mistake of getting trapped in marriage vows, Tristan wields strong control to suppress his growing attraction to his sister's friend, Julie Parrish. But his resolve is tested when an unusual request for help lands on his lap--marry Julie.

Author and former model, Julie Parrish has been trying to keep her image clean; otherwise, her drunkard father will get the inheritance her mother has left her. She will never let that happen. But her stepmother, Marla, has learned about the will's stipulation. Since then, she's been attempting to prove to the lawyers that Julie is far from being clean. Fortunately, her mother has added an out to the will. Marriage. So when Tristan surprised her by offering his help end her problem with Marla, she accepts. But Julie wants more than just a ring. She wants the elusive doctor's heart.

Love Letters and Inspiration with Tierney O'Malley and Win an E-copy of Wicked Persuasion

Please welcome today's guest author, Tierney O'Malley!

I’ve been asked many times about where I get my ideas on what to write. My answer is always, everywhere. It’s true. I get ideas from my children, movies, people I see at the store, hospital. Everywhere. Even on the upper shelf in my walk-in closet.

For my latest book, Wicked Persuasion, the love letters that I received from my husband were behind the story. Yes, I introduced Diana and Todd in Wicked Proposal as secondary characters who had the hots for each other but were trying to deny and hide their feelings. Of course, they failed miserably. They each have their own reason for doing it, which I didn’t clearly define in Wicked Proposal. When I finally decided to write their story, what I had wasn’t enough. Yeah, they were in love, but what else?

One day, I was looking for old pictures to scan when I happened to look at my special collection of love letters. And then voila! It hit me. I can use love letters as my foundation for Wicked Persuasion. Throughout the story, I wrote a snippet of Diana’s letter to Todd.

Brande of Book Junkie wrote in her review, “…Tierney posted Diana's letters to Todd sporadically throughout the book which will tear at your heart and make you wonder, can all be forgiven? Can you erase the past and move on? The love Diana once carried for Todd, is it still alive and strong enough to make it till the end?”

Here is the blurb:

For successful businesswoman, Diana O’Connor, it was love at first sight the moment she met Todd at the age of seventeen. She didn’t waste time expressing her love through letters. But after a year of no response from him, she accepted the shattering truth that her brother’s best friend, Todd Fox, will never see as her more than an annoying brat. She moved on and loved another.

Years later and unexpectedly, Todd expressed his love and asked for her hand in marriage. When she refuses to believe him, he tries all the wicked ways to make her accept his love. Including the most explicit sexual intimacy imaginable. This fuels her desire and sweeps her away.

Top-notch engineer, Todd William Fox, never intended to hurt Diana’s feelings by ignoring her letters. She was young and off-limits. Now, after years of watching her turn into a beautiful headstrong woman, he loses his heart to her. When Diana’s brother gives him the go signal to pursue her, he sets out on persuading Diana into his arms and into his bed. But will the chatterbox Diana give her heart the way she yielded her body to him—wholeheartedly?

Doesn’t it feel wonderful when someone courted you through love letters? I’m talking about letters written using a pen with ink. Not a keyboard and sent via the Internet. Nowadays though, with the new high tech gizmos, most women receive their letter through texting, instant messaging, email, or even chat rooms. Kind of sad really. Courtship took quite a wide turn in the past years.

Do you think courtship is a dying trend or it still exists but modernized? Do you still prefer getting handwritten love notes or computerized?

Leave a comment. Let’s chat.

By the way, I am giving away a free PDF copy of Wicked Persuasion to one visitor when it is released on February 1, 2010.

Lastly, thank you Roxanne for giving me this privilege to blog at Roxanne’s Realm.

Sincerely
Tierney O’Malley

The Wicked Night Before Christmas Giveaway with Tierney O'Malley

BLURB

He tried to make her his…

Lucas McLeod fell in love with his sister’s best friend who enjoys bantering with him. He is fighting the urge, temptation to cross the fine line between friendship and lovers. But Lucas lost. When he succumbs to passion and makes love with her, he knows she is the one he wants to grow old with. Before he leaves for Florida, he gives her his promise. He will be back.

She tried to ignore him…

Cara Saint Regis is devastated when Lucas, her best friend’s brother and the man she believes will come back for her arrives in the cabin with his high school sweetheart instead. Worse, she catches them French kissing. A few days before Christmas, Cara’s heartache turns into a blinding jealousy and anger—but deep inside her heart, her love and desire remains strong and true.

Will love, passion, and the spirit of holidays help them reunite in time to celebrate Christmas?

Being around Cara is a test.. Her nearness inflames his desire. Their closeness reminds him of what he’s been missing—her touch, smile, and her kisses. He misses her. Lucas wonders if his burning need to be with her again can wait until Christmas Eve to answer the wish she wrote on the paper and hung on the Christmas tree—a wicked night before Christmas.

EXCERPT

The position had shocked Cara. She'd never been that intimate with a man before. She could not move. When Lucas had wrapped an arm around her lower back, she closed her eyes and hoped it would last.

It didn't. Lucas sat up quickly and had looked at her as if his eyes were kissing her. He had brushed his lips across her forehead. "You're a temptation. An angel on earth meant to torture men." He cupped her chin and moved his mouth over hers.

The kiss had been gentle, sweet, and as light as autumn breeze. And yet it had sent heat spiraling down the pit of her stomach. He had tantalized her with persuasion to return his kisses. She may have been inexperienced in bed, but not in kissing. When his tongue had sought entry, she opened for him. His mouth was hot and turned demanding. Together their tongues danced and mated. Cara's blood pounded in her brain, pumped her heart, and had made her woozy. Many times, she had floated in her dream with Lucas kissing her. It was good, but not like this. This time, Lucas had taken her to the bed of heaven. When his hand had touched her shoulder, her heart beat wildly. It had been the only audible sound around her.

Lucas's hands had roamed around her body, seeking her breasts, caressing the mound and teasing her nipples. "Cara, Cara, if we don't stop now, I'll take you here on the floor. I don't care if Mom and Dad come down and see us. But I don't think you'll like that."

She had thought about telling him she didn't care. But what would that admission make her?

"No, I won't like that."

"Look at me, Cara."

"Next time we do this, I won't stop."
